Victoria on the River

Victoria on the River is an expansive park in Hamilton’s CBD that is a destination where people can pause, interact and enjoy the ever changing Waikato River views.

Terraform Concrete Construction were engaged by Schick Civil Construction to be the concrete installer for this high-profile project. The primary intention for the project was to create a destination where people can pause, and enjoy the river aspect. The architectural and urban design links the disparate levels of the lower river path, upper promenade and main street. A variety of surface treatments provide a rich texture and differentiate this park from the rest of the city. Split face stone along the edges of the terraces visually delineate changes in level.
